She said they allow sellers to hear everything people say as they are entering and leaving a house. She said that could be very harmful to buyers if they say too much. “You’re giving away your power by letting them know how much you want something. That’s the art of any negotiation. Who wants it more? That’s who pays more,” Rodriguez said.”From the seller’s perspective, they’re trying to go on about their day, but all of a sudden, their phone alerts them that someone is at their front door, talking about their home.
