The 57th edition of the Parade of Homes takes place July 10-18 in Massillon at Augusta Lakes. This year’s show has five newly constructed homes – all showing off the latest in new home interior design, floor plans, technology, green building, and landscaping.
These beautifully decorated homes are priced to start at $450,000 and feature a variety of architectural styles. This is a show that appeals to all types and generations of consumers – from first-time home buyers to empty nesters and especially those interested in building a new custom home.
Augusta Lakes is located off Richville Drive and easily accessible from Massillon, Jackson, and Route 30. For smart phone mobile directions via GPS use the address 2170 Championship Circle SE, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
What does the Parade offer to you as an attendee?
Award Winning Home Builders – This year’s Parade has five homes from four different builders – Smith Homes, Vega Construction, Hostetler Family Homes and Blythe Construction.
These companies are all long-time members of our association and have received numerous awards over the years, including The People’s Choice Award, House of the Year, and Builder of the Year. You will see their expertise and craftsmanship in every aspect of these homes.
A beautiful development – Augusta Lakes borders the beautiful Legends Golf Course and has great lots right next to some of the holes. It is conveniently located near Routes 30 and 21, making it easy to get anywhere in a short amount of time.
House design – The latest floor plan designs are here at the Parade. If you’ve been searching for a home or thinking about building or remodeling, you are sure to get some inspiration from these homes.
Interior decorating – All five homes are professionally decorated. These are beautiful creations with the most trending colors and decorating ideas. Come see for yourself.
Technology – Each year I am amazed at the features that manufacturers in our industry create to make life easier for us and how they incorporate them into home design. This year is no exception. If you attend, you are certain to see at least one great invention you wish you’d thought of or had in your current home.
Landscaping/outdoor living – Wait until you see the screened-in porches and outdoor living patios in this collection of Parade homes!
This week our focus is on House #4 – one of two homes by Blythe Construction.

Enter into this cozy ranch that comfortably sits on the 5th north hole of the The Legends of Massillon golf course. This 2,200 square foot home instantly makes you want to kick off your shoes and enjoy the evening at home.
The cottage feel is completed with custom kitchen cabinets finished in a “lakeside blue” and topped with eye catching Cambria countertops. A touch of rustic charm is intertwined into the home with the knotty alder sliding barn doors and a warm walnut fireplace mantle.
A view out onto the golf course from many large-scale windows gives you an open feel to the outside. Take a step inside to the owner’s suite to find crisp whites, greys and blues and plan for an evening of relaxation in the freestanding soaking tub.
With an attached walk-in closet and laundry room, this suite has it all. Opposite the suite enter into the guest living space with two bedrooms and its own bathroom that is finished with lively quartz countertops and bold tile. Through a large sliding door take advantage of the view in the screened porch living space with additional fireplace.
Refined cottage comfort with the private open view of The Legends golf course. Let Blythe Construction take you to your forever home.
