Mystery surrounds death of Jericho Home Improvements owner John Bartrom after he was killed in Kansas City shooting

THE owner of a home improvement company has died after a shooting on Sunday morning.

John Bartrom, 46, was found lying on the ground near a gas station in Kansas City, Missouri when police were called to the scene after midnight.

He was taken to the hospital where he died, reported local ABC affiliate KMBC.

Police later determined that he had been shot.

“We are heartbroken over the loss of our brother,” Bartrom’s sister Nora Schwartz spoke to the outlet.

“John was loved by those around him.

“He lived a big life and had so much more to give.

“Our family will never be whole again.”

Detectives are continuing the investigation into the death of the owner of Jericho Home Improvements.

The company is one of Kansas City’s biggest remodelers emphasizing their attention to detail and quality of staff.

“We have the expertise to do ANYTHING you can dream of,” they claim on their website.

Bartom was also well-known for his popular TV commercials advertising his business.

Kansas City Police Department said that a person of interest has been taken into custody.

A motive for the shooting has yet to be determined.
