Former “Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested for a suspected DUI in La Quinta, California.
On Saturday morning, the 42-year-old was booked into the John Beniot Detention Center on charges of felony DUI with at least three priors and misdemeanor contempt of court, according to arrest records from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office obtained by ET.
The incident was first reported by TMZ.
The incident took place just after 2 a.m. when officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Bryan. After observing the vehicle, they believed it to have been involved in an earlier “traffic collision,” according to multiple news outlets.
When they made contact with the driver and discovered it was Bryan, he exhibited signs of impairment, which led to his arrest.
“Deputies assigned to the La Quinta Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of Washington Street and Calle Tampico in La Quinta on a vehicle suspected of being involved in a recent traffic collision,” Sergeant Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez of the Riverside County Sherrif’s office said in a statement to Fox News Digital.
“When deputies contacted the driver, they observed indications of impairment, leading to the driver’s arrest for driving under the influence with priors,” it continued.
This comes after an incident last year when he was taken into custody for a felony assault.
Bryan is set to appear in court on April 23. The last time he was booked for a DUI was in May 2020. He plead guilty to that charge and was sentenced to five years of probation and 18 months of a multiple-offender alcohol program, following previous arrests in 2004, 2007 and 2017, according to ET.
Bryan played Brad Taylor on the popular sitcom. He also appeared in “True Heart” and “Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.”
