People spending more time indoors as cold weather rolls into Fayetteville might look around and wish for a heightened sense of home.
Here are six renter-friendly decoration tips that will make your home more your own.
Command strips
Command strips are good for decorating without leaving a bunch of holes to fill in later when your lease ends. Whether you need a place to hang up your robe in the bathroom or a way to showcase paintings on a wall, command strips help with easy installation and removal. Command strips can be found at almost any store, from Walmart and Target to drug stores and grocery stores.

Stick and peel
Stick and peel wallpaper helps give a splash of color to a room without paint. Do you wish you had exposed brick on one wall? It’s possible with stick and peel wallpaper. Stick and peel contact paper also can help upgrade your regular countertop to resemble marble or make your white cabinets look like dark wood. Many retailers sell various colors, prints and patterns online. including Amazon, Target, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Cost Plus World Market.
For easy application, a wallpaper smoothing kit is suggested to avoid air bubbles. You can find them for about $5.

Stick on backsplash
Does your kitchen look a little bland? You can add a tasteful backsplash with stick-on tiles. They can cost as little as a dollar at the Dollar Tree.
LED lights
Whether they’re in your bathroom on the bottom of your sink or on the back of your television, adhesive LED lights add a cozy ambiance to your space. Some adhesive LED lights also have motion sensors, which work great in a hallway to help you see at night. The strips aren’t expensive.
